The Three Peaks
(2.999 M.) Situated at the heart of the Dolomites, these are probably the most famous and certainly the most impressive peaks of the whole mountain range.
Mountain-biking
The Dolomites are a mountain-biker’s paradise. What better way is there to explore the beautiful alpine scenery than by mountain bike? Those of you who like challenges can take part in the annual “Dolomiti Superbike” competition.
Hiking
If you are into hiking, you can choose from many different idyllic tours in our area, ranging from a relaxing few hours’ hike to a challenging alpine tour. A very popular destination is, for instance, the beautiful Braies Lake at the foot of the imposing Croda del Beco peak (2.800 m).
Swimming
The indoor swimming pool “Acquafun” is open the whole year round. It offers a range of amenities, such as a huge waterslide for children, a solarium, a sauna, a massage parlour and, of course, a jacuzzi tub.
Winter sports
Apart from the Plan the Corones there are other popular skiing and snowboarding areas in the Upper Val Pusteria valley (“Alta Val Pusteria”), such as Mount Elmo, Baranci, and Sesto.
Snowshoeing is extremely popular these days: it keeps you young and your body in shape. There are plenty of opportunities to practise this sport.
The nearby Anterselva valley is a world-famous biathlon venue and a visit is a must for anyone who is into this sport.
